Congratulations to the swimmers with time drops so far! A time drop is when a swimmer goes faster than their previous best time in an event. For example, at the mock meet a swimmer takes 50 seconds to swim 50 free. At the next meet, they swim the same event in 49.5 seconds. That’s one time drop. To get another time drop, they must now swim faster than 49.5 for that event. The total number of time drops for a swimmer is cumulative – they don’t all have to be at the same meet. Time drop prizes will be awarded to swimmers when they reach the following totals (prize substitutions may occur): 2 time drops = airheads 4 time drops = blizzard at a home meet 6 time drops = slurpee from 7-Eleven 9 time drops = kids pizza from Little Italian 12 time drops = miniature golf from Wilderness Falls 15 time drops = movie theatre certificate
